Pros

Free product samples and you work with good brands, so you can use that in the future. The work is easy (just a lot of busy work), but I NEVER felt overwhelmed and I had never worked in PR prior to Bold.

Cons

Co-workes are not nice, i think only 6 out of the 25 employees ever talked to me. The owner expects you to work way beyond the 9-6 because a true PR girl should be so 'passionate that she wants to work' AKA every girl was so scared to leave before the boss. To be honest, there are companies out there that actually care about you and Bold PR does NOT! I mean the long hours, ridicule, pettiness, lack of vacation days, micromanagement, and low salary are proof that the owner does not truly care about her employees. Take the job, but please remember that it is only a job!!!!

worst job i've ever had

Pros

excellent brands and free makeup. also, you'll never have a worse job in your entire life. it's only up from here, friends!

Cons

the devil wears prada-level absurd. truly. i still tell stories to my current coworkers and they can't believe it, but they're 100% true! absolutely ridiculous. i had mental breakdowns daily; i would be at the office until midnight ever night in secret because my supervisor was too much of a wimp to tell her supervisor that her expectations were absolutely inhumane. got yelled and/or screamed at constantly. my sister tried to buy me lunch once and i had to explain that i barely had time to go to the bathroom—as someone who works hard and fast, this was ridiculous to me. i have never, in my life before or since, been told i wasn't getting enough done in time, but it happened daily here. the micromanagement is INSANE. i was told to update my status on all projects twice throughout the day which just took away time from me actually doing them under absurd deadlines! these people are out of their minds. ceo is smart and capable, but not involved enough in day-to-day to realize some of her direct reports are delusional. or maybe she doesn't care! i'll never forget how many times i worked literal 80-hour weeks in secret only to be yelled at for "staying late" (which was inaccurate; i was there several hours past what i reported), then yelled at again for not getting things done! truly, the most unhappy period of my entire life. i had to quit to be able to even LOOK for a new job at the request of everyone in my life who cared about me. there's no reason for your employees to be this miserable all the time. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.

Pros

Fun work environment once you make friends, you can learn so much, absolute PR boot camp that can prepare you for anything, great clients, free product

Cons

long hours, ridiculous workload, senior levels not knowing what they are doing, a bit catty for those that have been there for a long period of time and are horrible at managing
