Good staff discount. Specific helpline for use in stores for queries which has been helpful during my time. Company specific intranet to find out information. Detailed SOPs.

Cons

Salary is deliberately made very difficult to understand so you’re never certain what you are being paid versus others. Store based roles effectively management all the accountability but none of the acknowledgment and same job profile as a relief. Highly frustrating/insulting. Rarely work with another pharmacist so can be isolating. Lots of non pharmacy background staff and managers which have lack of understanding and support when issues arise. Lots of trainees all the time due to poor staff retention. Very poor retention of pharmacists but no concern from company which makes remaining staff feel very unimportant as well. Find that pressure always increasing - constant new services, changes to SOP, new priorities and no additional time to help with implementation (remember not a manager but have all duties except holidays and time cards). Definitely want machines and not human caring pharmacists in role. Only seem to retain longer serving staff, guarantee this is because they have been initiated on much higher salaries than the current scales.
