The manager was rude The staff were extremely snobby and not interactive No training The shop was empty all the time No tasks to do but expected to be doing some?? Hours were ridiculous for how empty the shop was as well

Pros

An ideal student job as there are numerous hours available to fit around university. You’re someone who’ll be exposed to working on many different areas of the shop. You’ll be part of delivery, customer service, dealing with customer queries and complaints. Depending on the size of the store, your duties will work around that. You will often work in different departments (within the bigger stores) and learn communication skills. Some of the team were epic. You get a discount card.

Cons

In some stores there is “cliquey” culture unfortunately. However, overall it’s pleasant as long as you associate with people who make you happy at work.

it is a decent salary but not enough for the work that you have to carry out

staff get no backup from senior management and they will always be undermined

The discount Colleagues were lovely Some customers were nice

Management Salary Processes and overly pedantic They don't really appreciate problem solving or using your initiative even though they promote this in their recruitment? Too much work and not enough bodies.
