      Pros

I somewhat enjoyed my time at Boots here are the positives but I really cannot say much: -There are really nice people to work with and my colleagues all across my store who are lovely and we can all create a positive atmosphere together -Generous staff discount at 15% -A range of offers and opportunities tailored to you through a specific partner website -A bustling work environment particularly in bigger, new branches -They do offer extra shifts and overtime at different stores or your own stores especially if you are working part time and during the holidays you can really bump up your pay

      Cons

I have worked here for nearly 4 years and the negatives seem to be absolutely endless: -The management (from store management to senior management) have not got a single clue on how to run or do anything! Everything feels extremely disorganised and awkward with some obscene targets being set for Store colleagues -The managers are really stuck up and arrogant, constantly pushing and abusing their position within the company and all the Store colleagues unless you are minimum an Assistant Manager you feel the pain. My Assistant Manager was the only sympathetic and kind senior colleague but the unfortunate reality was her job got cut. I also heard that some of the Apprentice colleagues had their jobs cut. I'm well sure they could run the company better than some of the management! -We are constantly given some obscene targets and my store has seen a huge decrease in customer demand over the coronavirus pandemic but we still have to meet pre-coronavirus targets otherwise senior management start to investigate your store -I understand Boots finances have been hit by the coronavirus pandemic but that does not mean you put money over your employees welfare, It is absolutely draining when senior management are constantly chasing you up and down with everything -The security is terrible! Half the time there is no security in my branch and some of the cameras do not work. The store has been robbed on of occasions but we had no solid evidence -The pay is alright but needs to be improved -Little career progression and natural growth within Boots. Very rarely you are offered promotion -Stores are extremely understaffed and you have to do double the workload (it is somewhat easier as there are less customers in the store but when things start to pick up again it is going to be a nightmare) The staff turnover is insane! I have seen many people come and go and the amount of colleague leaver parties I have gone to over the years is insane!
