Unfortunate Atmosphere of Harassment

Pros

Some good people, benefits could be a good company if they make some changes

Cons

There is a general accepted atmosphere of sexual harassment . Although some management is kind there is a true tolerance of sexual harassment. I am not sure any amount of training could curb the harassment. I experienced it in many forms from more than one individual.. I never made it an issue... but it was turned around on me as something I initiated even when my direct supervisor had noticed the perpetrator of the abuse of power and misconduct waiting for me and spending extra time hanging around me. The person who abused his power with me was a person I initially thought well of..but he abused his authority stating" don't worry... he could put in a good word for me when I told him he should not linger at my desk." He gave me a gift but since I'm married I don't think I reacted the way he thought I should. He also asked if I brought him a present in a suggestive way when I was carrying some papers to someone else...when I quickly gave him a hard No.. I believe he was afraid I would go to management, he then went to management and said I was the one harassing him. Because of his status in the the company and my status as a new employee, he was not reprimanded and I had to leave my position. If you read the reviews of this company... I am not the only one to experience this kind of treatment. It was not same individuals ...that's why I believe there is a general tolerance for this type of behavior.

Trying to hang on...

Pros

There are some very hard working people here who try their best to do what is right and move the company forward.

Cons

Upper management is bringing in managers from other countries and getting rid of the American employees. This has caused a HUGE reduction in morale among those of us who haven't been laid off yet.

Pros

Can't think of one

Cons

Poorly Managed from the top to the bottom, The owner will bring in people from Russia to replace you, and pay them double, while reducing work force to compensate. Discrimination against women, no accountability, can not go to HR, you may get it turned around on you. This company will not survive, they do not pay bills. They treat their US Citizens like trash. The head guys, make jokes about women in a vulgar manner.
