I have been working at Bourne Leisure full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Training is second to none! There are so many opportunities to learn so many roles and to gain so many qualifications. Great social aspect. Fun time with guests aswell as other team.

    Cons

Pay is awful. It is standard for general team members which is fair enough but as soon as you step up the ladder and take on much more responsibility, your pay barely increases.

    Advice to Management

Focus on team leaders and their pay, they are the back bone of the business!

I worked at Bourne Leisure full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Your colleagues make the job enjoyable, the trainings great makes a real difference to the customers. Everyday is different. There's a real buzz on the parks.

    Cons

Some managers don't have a clue, which is a real shame. They need to dare to care, show empathy and most of all make it fun.

    Advice to Management

    As above.

    Pros

Great pay, colleagues are the only thing getting each other through.

    Cons

Bullying and old school ethics within the management team.

    Advice to Management

I love my job I really love helping families buy their perfect caravan however I constantly feel we have barriers in our way to do what we do best with silly rules and micro managing.
All of us are threatened at least a couple times a month that our jobs are not safe and that are easily replaceable.
We’re constantly bullied about how terrible we are. It’s absolutely exhausting! I just want to get on with my job without the politics and bullying. PIPs are dished out like sweets for no obvious reason, that seems to be the only tool in the box for motivating a team that has been so beaten down there is no moral

Handovers are ridiculous, 6 weeks wait and they are shoddy! When someone has invested so much money with us and they can’t even be bothered to have things ready, deckings being put up the same day as handover, guttering not up, cleans not done, outside washes never done before handover but always after! It’s embarrassing and very bad service.

There is also a fight between management for top spot they constantly compete and the only ones that suffer are the team.

When I first started this job was great, it was fun but that’s completely gone in fact we now are not allowed to have fun. Such a shame
