I worked at Bourne Leisure full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I just loved everything about the company. Worked at the park for the full 2019 season and made many new lifelong friendships. Always enjoyed having banter with the guests and my fellow team members. Management very supportive and keen to solve issues if and when they arise. You also get a discount card which can be used across any of Bourne Leisure's sites for holiday bookings, discount in shops, restaurants and bars or for booking activities.

    Cons

Hours in peak can be long and tiring and some guests can be horrendously rude and self entitled when things don't go their way, even when you're maintaining professionalism and going out of your way to help them but thankfully the majority of guests are lovely so you just have to take the bad ones with a pinch of salt.

I worked at Bourne Leisure full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Got to live in different places around the UK.

    Cons

So so many. The team are seasonal so recruitment is relentless as people rarely return in favour of getting full time jobs. Very limited amount of salaries available. HUGELY underpaid for the work you do. Regularly expected to exceed 12 hour days with 1 day off a week being the norm. Preferences for department- retail particular being treated like dirt- caravan sales and entertainment being treated like royalty. Management have all worked for the company since time began and have completely lost touch with high street companies and what it is people are looking for in a restaurant. Unrealistic brand standards which are unachievable across all parks. No consideration for mental health problems whatsoever. Expect to put up and shut up or you’ll be conveniently fired. Bullying is ok if the person doing it is friends with management.
