    Great culture
    Nice people
Okayish pay but not that great

    Cons

    Poor management
    No progression
    Very little training

Get with the times, work from home and flexible working should be a no brainer.
Also start introducing training which team will benefit from.

I worked at Bourne Leisure full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Mixture of holiday parks - some really nice with good on park staff

    Cons

    Awful management.
Very two faced environment - can’t trust anybody.
Dinosaurs leading - option is to please them by doing things that probably aren’t productive or annoy them.
Awful internal promotion push that means no new skills come to the business.
    Lots of unhappy employees.
Fake cultured pushed on people but not followed by leadership.

    Advice to Management

Quit. Retire. You’re too arrogant to change. Make way for some open minded management who could take a great brand to big places.

    Pros

    Food And Toiletries left behind

    Cons

Bad Management, Poor wages, unrealistic targets,

    Advice to Management

Put your profits back into the Company, not your pockets. Provide good working order equipment. Better and proper training for the jobs in hand. Training that actually tells you how to do the job, not how to play Rock, Paper, Scissors!! Better communication between management and staff and also between other departments. Stop coming up with ways to deduct money from your employees!

    Pros

    Absolutely no reason whatsoever

    Cons

    Low pay, overworked, no breaks

    Advice to Management

During my time working as a cleaner at Berwick Holiday Park, I kept myself to myself. Always answered the question "how is today going?" with the answer "it's okay" because it was easier to keep my head down as the next part of this review will expand on.

This entire month (July, 2018) has been a horrible experience for me, such that I have quit my job. As usual, I got asked a simple question by my coach this time the question being "How did you get on with your new work partner last week?". I mistakenly answered honestly, voicing my concerns about my new partner. Immediately following this conversation, I got pulled into the office to have a chat with my boss because she wanted to know what had just made my coach so upset. I told her what had been said which was nothing other than a simple answer to a simple question. I thought that would be the end of it as my boss told me she would raise my concerns with my partner thus to ensure our working relationship could continue.

The following week after that is when the victimisation against me started. The first day out of the two days a week (It's only a Mon & Fri job) I was pulled into the office again and instead of my boss telling me the issue was all sorted, she told me that I have an attitude (which is business code for 'your coach is in a higher position than you, so you're wrong and we aren't going to deal with the situation properly'). Then on the Friday, I was told I wouldn't be working with the person I had been partnered with any more and that I was the 'spare part' which is only meant to be someone who works one day out of the two.

From then, I was known as the spare part. One day I actually turned up for work and got sent away because there was no work available for me although I was contracted for 12 hours a week.

How this tiny little issue (that shouldn't have even been an issue) has been handled is disgusting. It is bullying. Do not work for the housekeeping department in Berwick Holiday Park as they are malicious people who point the finger at a young person such as me because it is easier than dealing with the situation properly. They would probably do the same to any age. They will single you out and make your work life a living hell.

The expectations for cleaning 10 caravans a day is also physically impossible. They expect you to clean one caravans in 30-40 minutes, no matter how big, small, dirty or clean it is. In hot weather, they give you a bottle of water but they expect you to finish a caravan in the same time. If you're lucky enough to get 8 caravans to clean, you could possibly have 10 minutes for a break, if you have 10 caravans you won't get a break until you leave at the end of the day. How is this acceptable in a job this demanding?

They will also promise you that you will get a pay rise to £9.50 per hour instead of the £7.90 you start with. You will not see this pay rise as they always find something wrong with the caravans, even if the cleaner can't resolve the issue. For what the cleaners have to clean, they should start on £9.50 as we have to deal with some disgusting things.
