I have been working at Brinker full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Fast paced, lots of tools for initiatives that are implemented. Competitive pay. FOH staff are very closely knit. Lots of data available for day to day operations

    Cons

Menu constantly changes, new food additions and deletions made every three months. Wish they had separate front-of-house and back-of-house managers.

    Advice to Management

    Management alignment

Insurance benefits are not good, very expensive and high deductible Leadership in certain departments no longer reflect the longtime company culture introduced by fabulous leaders in the past.

    Pros

The Culture. This company is committed to the wellbeing of it's employees. Creating the best job to give Team Members the best life. Huge focus on personal and professional wellbeing.

    Cons

Not necessarily a con, but it's restaurant management, so the shifts are all over the place, and the hours are long. But that doesn't matter if you love your job.

    Advice to Management

Advice to upper management? I love you guys, you rock! Thanks for helping create the BEST LIFE.

I worked at Brinker (Less than a year)

    Pros

Family Oriented Great Pay and atmosphere with great leadership

    Cons

Just take away all the "PROS" mentioned above - Majority of accounting jobs were OUTSOURCED TO INDIA under Doug Brook's tenure, so forget about the great atmosphere and family oriented - it's all about the MONEY to the Stock Holders and Board Members! Associates left after outsourcing are doing work of 4 to 5 people - Building B (if it is even still in use now!) looks like an empty warehouse now, with atmosphere of a tomb.

    Advice to Management

Bring ALL jobs back from India and get rid of Cognizant, totally! How PROUD do you think NORMAN BRINKER would be to know ALL of the things he valued in a company went the way of the Edsel as soon as he died? You are an insult to this great man!
