    Pros

In terms of a great place to work, ability and freedom to take decisions about the business, being proactive in innovating new and better ways of doing things, then it is a great place to work. offers job flexibility as in you can determine what time to come in to work at the office.

    Cons

promotion is determined by how sexy you look, what kind of designer dress or shoe do you have on, do you drive the right car. not explaining job roles to prospective employees. the unwillingness of the company to pay for relocation allowances for employees. Also, employees that are posted to other end markets outside Nigeria are paid a daily stipend of $50 which is criminal. openmindedness is not encouraged. Career paths, training and development are not stricitly adhered to with non management staffs not being allowed to leave the field to attend trainings for more than a year.

    Advice to Management

Increase employees base salary by 100% since the employee overhead vs profit generated by the company is not more than 8% annually. Employees should be paid leave allowance instead of including it in their monthly salary which is not more than $65. promotion should be based on merit and not on who is more sexy. Employees should be granted study leave to pursue further development if the company is not willing to train them. Roles meant for non graduates should not be given to graduates and human resources staff should not collude with senior management on this issue. Career paths of employees should be adhered to.

I worked at British American Tobacco full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Career track and progress, dynamic and energized environment, international colleagues. Generally they offer attractive packages versus other companies in the FMCG industry.

    Cons

High necessity to network in order to progress, must be outgoing, otherwise the experience will not be good, you will need to deliver more than what is expected in a constant base.

    Advice to Management

Understand their teams incentives and act on consequence, some directors are "too busy" to get to know their team, and unfortunately when the time comes to deploy the strategy, they are not aware of who is doing what
