    Pros

Well established company making waves and beating the competition.

    Cons

Remuneration is below market anchor. Tick box culture. High staff turnover.

    Advice to Management

Less red tape. A move towards "a happy worker is a productive worker" would be nice.

I worked at British American Tobacco full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

People are very helpful, collaborative at mid-management and below.
Packages are (have to be) very competitive so staff retention is generally high, although people keep saying things are changing.

    Cons

Organisation is very federated and sometimes too cumbersome when trying to implement change.
Networking and a little too much emphasis on who you know rather than what you've delivered.
Organisational change and restructuring leaves people bewildered at times as moves happen frequently and without much regard to career aspirations.

    Advice to Management

Keep recognising talent but align the individuals career goals to the opportunities available.
Keep working on products that are less controversial if that's possible.

    Pros

Extremely enjoyable events the company put on when doing product launches or training. The people I met within my team were very nice, helpful and taught me a lot.

    Cons

My new manager basically 'managed' me out of my position based on previous agreements with my old manager and the sheer amount of pressure the new one put me under made me fail. There is never time to do things properly and members from other teams cheat to achieve goals - who can get 26 introductions in one day?

    Advice to Management

Listen to staff more, less pressure and more rewards for achieving targets other than a yearly bonus. Oh, and the amount of time spent of laptops outside of work is insane, every single week you'd spend hours and hours of personal time doing laptop work because it simply never ever ends.

I have been working at British American Tobacco full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Large organisation with lots of roles. Above average salary & bonus. Few good leaders and in a few markets a great culture

    Cons

Very short term focussed, only driven by profit, very poor in people management, very internally focussed, too much politics, not a values driven culture or management. Very poor on work life balance
