    Pros

    friendly environment and great management.

    Cons

    none. Never had any problem

  2. "Good place to volunteer, but know your boundaries"

    3.0
Current Employee - Volunteer/Shop Assistant in Tewkesbury, England

I have been working at British Heart Foundation part-time

    Pros

Everyone is very kind and supportive, and volunteers are entitled to snacks and staff discount. It's always varied and new donations are always coming in.

    Cons

Sometimes the shop is understaffed and a lot of work is passed on to volunteers. I had to learn how to say "no" and stop letting people make me feel like I had to do everything.

I worked at British Heart Foundation part-time for more than a year

    Pros

You get the opportunity to learn and move up in the company. Working very closely with the managers of the shop. Really nice relationships with the volunteers. 25% discount.

    Cons

Pay isn't great but that's common for charity work. Hours weren't great. kinda thrown in at the deep end and given a lot of responsibility quite early.
