I worked at Brunswick Boat full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Spent 35+ years with this company. Absolutely proud to be a part of it. Was part in building over 250000 of the best quality boats made

    Cons

Upper management has lost their way. They hay forgotten that skilled craftsmanship was the backbone of the company. Pay became an issue on retaining quality employees. When we lost those efficiencies dropped and overtime prevailed. Pressure was applied, threats made and more employees left. There are still plenty of qualfied employees left to put it back on top where we once were....IF... they are treated right and rewarded for their actions. But if management don't learn employees are valuable, and create a team environment, Its sad but Sea Ray will only be a name if the past.

I have been working at Brunswick Boat full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Benefits, locations, people, comparable pay. It's difficult to rate Brunswick being a Boat Group employee about to loose their job. Other divisions are doing well and are still more than likely a good place to work.

    Cons

    Mismanagement of the boat group

I have been working at Brunswick Boat

    Pros

Once a great company! Still build remarkable boats! Great people to work with!

    Cons

Upper management (Brunswick) has lost touch. Trying to drive down cost by reducing actual build labor. Product is much more complex to build with no increase in build hours. Corporate continues to get larger which is increasing cost per unit to customer. The body (Plants) is no longer able to support the head (Corporate). Eventually will implode.
