    Pros

Sample Sales. Free Fruit. Some Really Amazing People.

    Cons

Very Low Salaries. No progression. Very Little Work Life Balance. Lack of process and discipline. Lack of professional best practice knowledge. I would waste your time elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate the professional people you hire and allow them to implement best practice approaches.

I worked at Burberry full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Nice office building Good starting salary

    Cons

Bullying and harassing environment. You are expected to arrive early and leave very late, and there is no overtime pay for this. It is simply expected. Management will text/call you after office hours in the evening demanding why you have stopped working (after your working day). This harassment is then followed up the next morning with recriminations. There is no understanding of a work-life balance, and leaving on time is viewed as not being a team player. Absolutely useless IT team - this is all done over the phone and things break on a daily basis. Even in a graduate-level role, you are expected to take your work phone on holiday, and if anything happens to your work whilst you are away then you are blamed for this upon returning. Promotion is only given to your line manager's select favourites. An over-confident personality is valued more than someone with the knowledge and skills the role requires. You are expected to work through lunch at your desk. Even if you take a single day of holiday, you will be expected to prep your colleagues fully (often into the evening) the day before, which wastes time and is never put to use. Meetings overrun well past office hours, and if you try and leave on time you will be branded rude, even if you have made it clear that you need to leave on time. There are meetings about meetings, and so much time is wasted away from computers. Temporary workers are treated disrespectfully, with the manager not being able to remember their names - even if they have worked there full time for a month. Managers have no understanding of the effects of work stress, and deny that work creates any kind of anxiety, instead blaming it on the employee and saying that anxiety has no place at work. Pointless and time-wasting improvement projects, when the systems need to be scrapped entirely and updated. There is no adequate training for new starters.

    Advice to Management

Accept the fact that employees are entitled to a full life outside of work, and that harassing them creates anxiety and not productivity. Appreciate your staff more, and get rid of the blame culture, otherwise people will continue to leave and add to the laughably high turnover rate.

I worked at Burberry full-time for more than a year

    Pros

employee discount, good benefits and fun activities

    Cons

Bad management, micromanagement, really why hire expert people if you are going to micromanage even what to reply on emails! No work life balance, I had to work even on holidays and weekends!

    Advice to Management

360 reviews, management not exactly competent or know what they are doing and please do not do a survey and then act on it on paper only

I have been working at Burberry full-time for less than a year

    Pros

SAMPLE SALES! 40-50% discount if you like the brand. Very digitally focussed. Ok commission per sale.

    Cons

Employees quit their bosses, not the company. High staff turnover, leaving parties for people all the time. Nasty remarks from higher management. "You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" mentality between managers. Managers don't communicate with each other, you are told to do one thing and another comes along with another plan. Low salary, "exciting" bonuses and incentives that add up to nothing. Boring bi-weekly training sessions, clearly little enthusiasm and genuine interest from the managers. No opportunity to move up the career ladder, if your manager loves you then maybe you have a slim chance. Not much work/life balance. High emphasis on relating EVERYTHING to heritage Burberry, with little true reasoning. You need to make up stories for products to sound elevated and worth the silly price tag- sell the story you make money. You need to convince yourself that everything Burberry looks AMAZING and is INCREDIBLE and OH-MY-I-CANT-LIVE-WITHOUT-IT!

    Advice to Management

Stop being so full of yourself. It's so lucky be paid to post selfies on Instagram, shop online and not adhere to professionalism "whilst you're in the office finishing off the weekly report" It looks bad to the customers if you're on the sales floor on your phone, wearing jeans and a t shirt. Stop faking your enthusiasm for new products you clearly dislike.
