I worked at Burger King full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fast-paced work that teaches you to multi-task. Creates good work ethic and drives young people to achieve.

    Cons

A franchisee format system creates universal rules and regulations to manage a store. What is unaccounted for is the managerial style which can sometimes be quite brutal.

    Pros

it is a place to work if you have interest in food and customer service, it is a place to get experience of being in a work place and it also afford flexibility to fulfil other obligations such education and family

    Cons

there are some discrepancies in management because promotion is based basically on years of service and not level of education and leadership personalities such as being able to create balance in situation.

    Advice to Management

i think management needs to be attentive and more vigilant because the workforce in the company has many people with different motive and in other to avoid loosing staff with the intention of building a career i the company troublesome staff needs to be sussed out and cautioned and brought under control.

I have been working at Burger King part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The staff (minue store managers, nice but liars) there are absolutely amazing, all nice.

    Cons

Lied to before signing contract. Was told I would be part time and asked what my preferred hours are. Told them morning and evenings, basically leave afternoons out. Said that was great and what they were looking for. Turns out, after signing my contract, they change me to full time and then put all my hours starting from afternoon to closing which is specifically what I said I can't do.

    Advice to Management

Don't lie, if you don't want to take new staff in for morning/evening hours, then just say.

I have been working at Burger King part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Free food allowed on breaks
Employing 16 year olds (most companies don't)
Taught to provide excellent customer service
Managers are helpful and patient when training staff, supporting when customers can be difficult, resolving issues fairly.

    Cons

Sometimes very short hours... e.g. 2 hour shifts at times, with no warning from managers
Only one break per day at half an hour only
Some staff can be rude e.g. harassing co workers based on weight

    Advice to Management

Please make breaks longer or include two half hour breaks for shifts longer than 4 hours. Also please advise staff to respect all coworkers equally, and stop the nepotism based on sharing the same motherland with some staff.

    Advice to Management

Heed the above information and deal with issues quickly. Less pressure on waiting staff, especially at weekends, maybe hire more
