I worked at Burns & Wilcox full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Benefits Plan is affordable and decent

    Cons

Burns is extremely frustrating for many reasons. Pay is far below the industry norm, offices are so understaffed you have to work overtime for free and the culture is just horrid. Burns offices compete with one another for business, pull business out from smaller offices and refuses to co-broker to win an account. There is no support from management, I take that back, mine was willing to listen briefly and then would just explain why there would be no resolve to issues. We had bi-weekly group meetings to discuss pain points and never had any suggestions or assistance to resolve issues!! This place is a gold mine for the family who owns it and only they reap the rewards of the employees hard work. This place is a joke. Stay far away! Go work for a real MGA there are ones who value, respect and appreciate hard work and experience!
