I have been working at CLS Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

As a small company there are often opportunities to grow the company, whatever position you are in. People are open and willing to offer advice and guidance.

    Cons

The growth agenda is too lofty for the number of employees in some areas. The culture can be a bit stuffy and old fashioned in some areas despite the want of change and innovation

    Pros

Small company with a straight forward purpose

    Cons

Culture is controlled by the chiefs. Some of whom are ego driven and reactive rather than proactive.

I worked at CLS Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Small company that is fundamental to the market so a decent opportunity to contribute. A fantastic CEO who has a great grasp on telling the market what they need to hear. Great place to work if you are on the nearing the end of your career and want to coast to retirement as you are paid well and allowed to deliver virtually nothing.

    Cons

Hides behind the fact nobody on the market provides the same service and owes its success to a freak event which occurred in 2008. Doesn't know how to evolve. Introduced failed products not reflective to "Street" needs. Scared to annoy those on the Street who it borrowed from. Prehistoric policy for analysing risk and seem to make it up as they go along. Thinks it is a big company when in reality most google what CLS is. Will be a matter of time before the banks create a similar but better rival service. More Directors than a Hollywood film set who promote those who give them the least trouble. Politics amongst the Management affects the morale of the staff. Has a feel of a company being run by management who never did quite cut it in the big leagues of investment banking. Suggestions for improving the business go through more hoops than a basketball does in a season. You speak to your manager, who speaks to his, who speaks to his, who claims your idea as his own gets promotion and meanwhile the idea doesn't get implemented and you get told to work harder!

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at CLS Group full-time

    Pros

Good benefits, minimum work, descent compensation. Perfect place for retirement or anyone who does not wish to advance their career

    Cons

Management is totally confused and has no idea of where the company is heading. Way too much politics for a small company. Simple things takes way too long to get done. Senior managers makes up more than half of the entire company's population.

I have been working at CLS Group full-time

    Pros

I've been at CLS for nearly two years now. It's a small company, but it has a massive impact on the FX market. As a result, there's never a dearth of interesting projects and opportunities. As someone starting out their career, CLS has been a great place for me to learn and grow. I get a lot of great exposure to high-level projects and the flat organizational structure means I get a lot of interaction with executive committee members as well. This is a great company for people who are looking to jump start their career by gaining valuable experience and exposure and really developing autonomy in their roles.

    Cons

As any company that's going through culture change, there is the usual speed to change issue as various groups get on board change and start to model the right behaviors. That being said, I feel confident that things will continue to improve over the next few months.

I have been working at CLS Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great working environment and company culture. Though a small organization, CLS offers a good benefit package and Senior Management seems to care about the wellbeing and development of its employees. The company has been undergoing a cultural shift over the last couple of years and is growing in a positive direction by bringing on new talented people, offering training opportunities to employees and rewarding hard work. My take on the negative Glassdoor comments is that they are from people who can't stand to see the success of others and are afraid of change.

    Cons

CLS is a small company so we need to do more with less. The organization is continually raising the bar on goals and expectations while management is carefully watching costs.
