Pros

There are no pros to speak of other than a competitive base salary.

Cons

I have never come across a more badly run region as EMEA at Calabrio. Problems began with an unintelligent and naive tactic of moving from a channel partner to direct sales model. Marketing for EMEA is non existent - the BDR team are targeted incorrectly resulting in a poor output for the sales teams. Toxicity and politics within the office is horrendous and when you do sell contracts cannot be fulfilled, there are problems with implementation and even instances of having to fight for the compensation for deals that were won. If the entire sales team is not performing then the fault ultimately lies with senior management - but their answer was to bring in more sales staff - why bring people in if you don’t plan to support them? I regret my decision in joining and delighted to have left rather than being pushed out.

UK Sales, what a shambles

Pros

There is nothing postive to say.

Cons

I am writing this to help any sales person thinking of joining Calabrio, don't, as you will probably leave after 12 months or be fired. The problem starts with the sales strategy, which started 2 years ago, of going direct in this market. This has not worked and no one in sales has achieved even close to their target. The strategy did not change nor was support provided with partners so we all suffered consequently. From January 2019, people started to quit or were fired, due to numerous points of frustration and the UK was left with no one who understands sales in a start-up environment. When the Sales Team were asking for support, nothing was ever actioned so this meant all staff, not just sales, were quitting or were being fired. The Sales Team were constantly stabbing each other in the back and not supporting each other, all because there are not enough opportunities, the training is very basic and the targets are not achievable. Marketing support is limited as it is all run out of the US but additionally the business development team don’t do any cold calling as they focus on targeted accounts which means everything is very slow and management are not patient.
