A place to avoid

Pros

Stable company if you are good at your job and don't want to be bothered with challenging work.

Cons

A place where connections and talking the right talk will move you up the ladder. Most of the emplyees do the bare minimum while a hand full actually do 90% of the work and get nothing more in return. This includes senior staff that in some cases barely know how to type an email. Also the office has no actual projects to be proud in terms of design of as most of the projects are meaningless repeat work.

Most Bureaucratic Firm

Pros

RTKL London's designers spent most of time doing non intelligent work. People constantly feeling bored and tired. It's the most bureaucratic firm I have ever worked for. The salary just can't compensate the bad work life balance. The worst however is the designers have nothing to show as a proud project.

Cons

It's a haven for people who can talk but have no real talent. There's an appreciation from the leadership for people who can keep the heads down and get things done. The educational background or talent doesn't matter that much.

Pros

-Travel -Work on a variety of interesting projects. -Paid for development courses.

Cons

-Highly un-sociable, un-pleasant work environment- enforced by low level managers who spend too much time caught up with trivial issues. -Very poor work-life balance. -Two-faced, hostile management style- certain rules seem apply for some employees while not for others (among some managers) -Top heavy staffing- abundance of senior staff with disproportionate and overworked lower level staff doing 90% of the legwork. -Below industry standard pay. -Below industry standard benefits- no bonuses/ travel help/ medical/ dental for below senior staff.
