Not for profit but certainly not for their staff

      Pros

The people (below management level) are hard-working and try their best for our authors.

      Cons

      - Pay is always offered at the minimum of the salary band, no bonus in two years (but the SLT get an 18.5-30% bonus based on profit NOT their performance) which has been justified by HR as "in line with industry" but when pushed why these inflated bonuses have not been used to retain staff, no longer wanted to engage with the feedback session. - Teams are being cut in half or smaller yet the same amount of work (or more, in the majority of cases) is put on you and when asked if we can get more team members we are told "that's the way it is, put up or there's the door". - Middle management jobs are popping up more often but regular staff to get the work done either don't get advertised for or are being pushed offshore to save costs. When asking for more staff you are only given the option of a team member in Manila or nothing, but are still told it "isn't for financial reasons" when a salary in Manila is 1/5 of that of a UK staff member. - Global Employee Surveys have stopped because of too much negative feedback, which just about summarises the current position of all staff who just want to have a team equipped to handle the workload.
