I worked at Capco full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Money + Salary + Colleagues = work and food.

    Cons

Not an honest company - very devious and lots of backstabbing. People not being treated fairly from an HR perspective. Poor recruitment and hidden agendas. A sales driven managed service/recruitment company (not a consultancy) approach that people need to be careful with.

    Advice to Management

    You are very transparent.

I worked at Capco full-time for more than a year

    Pros

A few good people left doing a few interesting pockets of work. Office is based in a good location near Liverpool street station. Everyone gets a decent laptop and mobile phone. They don't have a lot of people sitting around waiting for projects so your very likely to get onto a project quickly.

    Cons

This really is a bad place to work, they don't seem to have any focus on the people, its very much geared towards the stack em high sell em cheap kind of model. They don't provide any decent training or development. Coaching is very poor from the leadership team and most of the senior management are very focused on developing their own empire rather than anything more interesting. Its frankly just a mess on all levels,...

    Advice to Management

Main advice to management is to focus much more on all the people in the firm not just the ex Accenture team

I worked at Capco full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Long track record of projects, Lots of people from industry with detail knowledge, Smaller size of firm gives you the ability to work on a range of activities

    Cons

Very poor leadership, very limited training, very poor (almost non existent) project pipeline. Limited value as an employee above being a contractor. Lots of project where you are just sent in as an additional person do do stuff, management seem uninterested in what your doing day to day. Lots of talk about innovation but in reality none of this changes most peoples day jobs of getting sent off on projects to do stuff.

    Advice to Management

Consider this ; Do you think your people are happy ? Do you understand why people are leaving ?

I have been working at Capco full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some links to the big banks and some people who have some relevant financial services industry experience which you can learn from. Small bench so your very likely to be staffed on a project quickly

    Cons

A bad culture, driven by ex Accenture management, who have limited vision and ambition beyond clearing the bench day to day. Very limited ability to grow your career other than the day to day project delivery .. you will often be sitting alongside contractors deployed long term on an assignment. Training is mostly delivered internally and is of poor quality

    Advice to Management

Listen to your people, you have some great people but no one seems to be interested in developing them
