    I worked at Capco full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - some real people working for the company - good hq in shoreditch - personal development / training is great

    Cons

    - promotion is all about who you know - very political - completely lied and oversold the role - there was no real work in the Capco for 6 months. people were on the bench for at least 2 months trying to find work - little to know interesting projects - no one gets rewarded for their work - senior management has little understanding of the culture

    Advice to Management

    be honour and get better work you are losing a lot of amazing people

    Capco is active with driving the Diversity & Inclusion agenda with not just recently published Gender Pay Gap showed that our gender pay gap has narrowed since 2018 - we are close to achieving parity at hourly pay level. I recently attended our BAME event where it was clear we are pushing the boundaries of being a voice for that community. The highlight of this month was our Mental Health event. Great to have two...

    Work life balance is good, the pay is fair and you have a lot of social events

    Cons

    It is sometimes hard to get something done form an internal 'community' perspective Politics to get promoted (although I think this is part of Management Consultancy in general)

    Good clients, particularly recently with some new more innovative additions to their books

    Cons

    - Promotions are based on who you’re mates with rather than actual competency - Meaning there’s loads of reallllyyyy rubbish managers, particularly at SC level but shockingly even higher up too - accounts are run in silos meaning performance on one account doesn’t mean anything on the other in terms of the responsibilities/prospects you’ll have - Additionally, they’ve kicked off networks to support mental health...

    I worked at Capco full-time

    Pros

    The salary is good, and there are some great people to work with. But you won't see your team often as you'd be placed out on different client sites.

    Cons

    Lack of organisation, direction/strategy for the company, and lack of care for employees' wellbeing.

    Advice to Management

    Please put correct people in the management roles that want for the team to thrive rather than get their money and move on to the next gig. This left the employees, moral and clients' perception of the organisation is poor state.
