    Pros

Good place to work, excellent opportunities, some members of Senior Management are good and supportive, has good opportunities to work

    Cons

Meritocracy is not rewarded always - which is not unusual in large organisation, not very effective in getting new projects offlate

    Advice to Management

    None in particular

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    - Lots of opportunity to direct your own career, if you're willing to put the effort in.
    - Generally, very good colleagues who all want to help the customer achieve their goals.
    - Flexible working very good in most areas.
    - Day to day tech (i.e. laptops) are generally good spec.
    - Lots of support if you need it.
    - A very diverse workplace with all areas of IT happening somewhere.

    Cons

    - Sometimes years can go by without a pay rise, not even inflation, despite doing a 'good job'. Pay rises only available to those that excel, which means that salaries are stagnant in relation to the economy.
    - If you're not good at dealing with change then you might want to look elsewhere as things can change quickly and quite drastically sometimes, but usually for good business reasons.

    Advice to Management

People getting a 3, i.e. doing a GOOD job, should get inflationary pay rises otherwise it feels like getting a pay cut for doing a good job. This quickly leads to demotivation if a higher rating is unachieveable in the area you're working in.

    Pros

Capgemini gives an opportunity to work across the globe. The organization is quite flexible if you want to relocate.

    Cons

Most of the growth is happening in India so if you are looking for a steep growth then you should be looking in wok in offshore centers.

    Advice to Management

The organization structure is quite complex and has been divided into many small organizations.

I worked at Capgemini full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great location, out of the city with good scenery and close to a river.
Great library facilities with lots of books and electronic media for learning.

    Cons

Insensitive management since Kanbay was taken over by Capgemini.
Dependency on some key clients and not many new big accounts/clients (requiring at least 100 or more resources) added in the past several years. HSBC and RBS ramped down drastically this year and thousands came on bench with no option available.
Shoddy food court with not so clean facilities.
Old workplace which required a lot of maintenance at many places.
    Not so competitive salaries.
    No or meagre annual increments.
Not so efficient performance management system where at times no feedback is given at the end of the year but it is recorded in the system.
    No recognition to old employees.
Employees working at captive center clients left on their own reminding old days of body shopping.

    Advice to Management

Performance Management should be made more efficient.
Annual increments should be as per industry standards and in line with general economic situation in the country.
New big ticket clients should be added providing better career opportunities.
Food court needs improvement urgently. It needs to be state of the art in all the facilities not just in the new facility under construction.
