I worked at Capgemini full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good and friendly work environment . Potential for growth

    Cons

Job description is different form what i was employed to do. I interviewed as a PMO lead with BTS Apps only to join and started crunching numbers as an accountant. I never did any PMO related activities. They only sell you the job title and if you are willing to change to course of you career from becoming a PMO and an accountant, it is the best place for you

    Advice to Management

    1. Try and review your PMO Lead Job description. It is very misleading and the shocking of one coming in to do PMO related role only to be given an excel file that full of numbers is unacceptable.
    2. Employ accountants to run your project accounts and allow PMO's to be involved in the delivery of projects
    3. No transferable skills

HR needs to share the vision of the business leadership and work as a partner rather than as order taker

I worked at Capgemini full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great at encouraging graduates to gain technical skills and gain relevant certification.

    Cons

    - Lack of career opportunities
    - Lack of exposure to different types of projects
    - Senior management/ consultants don't appreciate the skills graduates can bring so graduates get stuck doing mundane tasks such as updating trackers, writing meeting notes on a regular basis which makes them look elsewhere
    - Tendency to micromanage thus not allowing for much progress
    - No work/ life balance

    Advice to Management

    - Listen to when concerns are raised rather than dismiss them
    - Understand that senior management may be better at talking rather than doing actual work
    - Better compensation compared to competitors

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    - Lots of opportunity to direct your own career, if you're willing to put the effort in.
    - Generally, very good colleagues who all want to help the customer achieve their goals.
    - Flexible working very good in most areas.
    - Day to day tech (i.e. laptops) are generally good spec.
    - Lots of support if you need it.
    - A very diverse workplace with all areas of IT happening somewhere.

    Cons

    - Sometimes years can go by without a pay rise, not even inflation, despite doing a 'good job'. Pay rises only available to those that excel, which means that salaries are stagnant in relation to the economy.
    - If you're not good at dealing with change then you might want to look elsewhere as things can change quickly and quite drastically sometimes, but usually for good business reasons.

    Advice to Management

People getting a 3, i.e. doing a GOOD job, should get inflationary pay rises otherwise it feels like getting a pay cut for doing a good job. This quickly leads to demotivation if a higher rating is unachieveable in the area you're working in.
