I have been working at Capgemini full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some good clients/industries to get experience on. Good individuals can make engagements and project enjoyable

    Cons

Very amateur management, lack of leadership qualities and judgement. Numbers driven, always about utilisation. Unwilling to approve training. Poor communications and complete lack of people skills. All leading to very high staff turnover. Scared of clients, not real consultants, just hired workers

    Advice to Management

Promote people with leadership quality, not brown nosers. Listen to staff, sort of retention issue

    Pros

Good company values which are put in practice, very nice colleagues and good salary conditions

    Cons

Management is the main disadvantage in this company. Although your peers are competent, managers often lack good managerial skills and this is the reason I left the company.

    Advice to Management

Select managers based on competency, not based on politics or seniority

    Pros

Underlying values. People are very collaborative. It has a good reputation for doing the right thing by clients.

    Cons

It is very siloed, business units are measured in a way that does not encourage collaboration across BUs, so opportunities can be sub-optimised.

    Advice to Management

Change measures to instil better collaboration across BU....and consolidate the the GTM and Support Functions across BUs to get better alignment with how clients buy (GTM) and reduce overhead costs (support functions).

I worked at Capgemini full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Hires a lot of people.
Provides mandatory training, including professional one
    Tries to runperioding informal events

    Cons

Graguates are used as operational clerk, which does not help to learn any engineering profession
Professionals are treated as avarage work-bodies regardles their professional skills, preferences, offered values and best potential contributions
Managers decide everything regardless promoted "Agile culture"
Architectural ideas are ignored if they in any angel to the managerial decisions
Agile operational process is much more important than its business/technology outcome
The single delivery criteria is to keep a manager happy, what is actually delivered is immaterial.
Poor internal organisational and technology support
A lot of operational disconnected systems/tools

    Advice to Management

Sell expertise, not bodies. Respond to requirements, not to individual wishes to promote existing solutions.

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I joined as a graduate and have enjoyed the time I have spent at Capgemini

Capgemini provide graduates with excellent training opportunities. I have experienced this first hand and have attended a 5 week academy in addition to other courses that have allowed me to develop a deep understanding in my area. Due to this investment, Capgemini expect you to become certified in your chosen area.

From my experience employees support and collaborate with their colleagues allowing for a fun and productive environment. I believe there to be a good work life balance, but am aware this can vary depending on your project.

Management are supportive of progression and are often approachable. Promotion can be achieved on a yearly basis.

I feel I am entering the next stage of my career; in my current position I am uncertain whether there will be enough opportunities for me to meet my aspirations and whether Capgemini will continue to invest in training (after finishing the graduate scheme). However, it would be unfair for me to comment negatively on this as I am yet to experience it.

I would recommend the graduate scheme to people wanting a career in IT.

    Cons

Unable to think of any Cons- I have enjoyed my experience as a graduate
