I have been working at Capgemini full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits package, sick pay, holiday pay, flexible working hours, gym membership, reasonable/good management. Good technologies, training opportunities, move roles internally

    Cons

Better off leaving for a period of time, then rejoining if you want a decent pay rise. Not convinced they are paying market rates, if they are, they are at the lower end and dropping

    Advice to Management

Be more supportive of the people who work for you. Train people & give them awards, incentives for a job well done.

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Opportunities if you go after them, good benefits (can buy 10 days hol per year),

    Cons

Some parts of the business do not have the most transparent promotions process. Big boost on grad hires but they do not always put them in roles which allow them to develop.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on giving grads roles that offer opportunities to develop, make sure people don't get left behind stuck on bad projects.

I worked at Capgemini full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Great people , supportive colleagues

    Cons

In last two years everything felt very bargain basement , from salaries to kit , only investment in Digital space , all other technologies ignored .
Senior management very reactive , no vision outside digital , feel like Capgemini becoming a one trick pony

    Advice to Management

Communication think about It, telling female staff they are paid 16% less than male colleagues , then telling us to fix this you will hire female graduates and pay them more !!! remember its your teams that deliver ,

I worked at Capgemini full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    - Large company with good global network of people and many opportunities to progress.
    - I worked with some great people there and on many different interesting projects.
    - It's not one of the other big consultancies

    Cons

    - Short-sighted about the direction to follow and which latest fad to jump on
    - Becoming very corporate and losing sight of the 7 values as it strives to emulate the other big consultancies

    Advice to Management

Listen to staff and find a value in differentiating yourself rather than trying to be someone else

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good career management - you own your own career
    Great people and team spirit
    Fun and challenging
    Very ethical and inclusive
    Good corporate social responsibility
    Approachable leaders
    Some very skilled people
    Good customer base
Good benefits and work life balance

    Cons

Very large organisation and can lose the human touch at times
Silo/tower organisation structure, so left-hand can sometimes not know what the right-hand is doing, so to speak.
HR overrun by rigid process and can often be ineffective
Despite being 'market compared' the salaries are not very competitive at all.

    Advice to Management

Less HR red-tape and reliance on process for employee development/promotion to stop people being promoted for making the right noises. Instead, use their peers and colleagues to support / endorse promotion to get the right people and right leaders.

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some good clients/industries to get experience on. Good individuals can make engagements and project enjoyable

    Cons

Very amateur management, lack of leadership qualities and judgement. Numbers driven, always about utilisation. Unwilling to approve training. Poor communications and complete lack of people skills. All leading to very high staff turnover. Scared of clients, not real consultants, just hired workers

    Advice to Management

Promote people with leadership quality, not brown nosers. Listen to staff, sort of retention issue
