    Cons

Staff on site are sometimes forgotten about and they dont feel part of the team at the main Capgemini offices

    Advice to Management

Look after the staff on site, it sometimes feels like they are just another number

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I have always been encouraged and motivated to challenge myself here, and given amazing opportunities for progression that satisfy my ambition to grow and achieve. Capgemini will challenge you, broaden your mind, teach you new skills and techniques. If you want to learn and become the best that you can be, it's an amazing place to work.

    Cons

I have personally not had negative experiences working for Capgemini. I have always worked for a very supportive management team and been given all the learning and career opportunities I have worked towards.

    Advice to Management

The best teams are made up of different personalities, characteristics and drivers. Continue to draw from the full talent pool, continue to support your teams and guide and advise so we can continue to drive creativity and innovation forward.

I worked at Capgemini full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Excellent methods particularly the Accelerated Solution Environment for bringing all stakeholders from across a company to solve complex issues

    Cons

Can be frustrating as silos between business units competing for a finite amount the customer has available to spend leading to a zero sum game between business units and sub optimal engagement and performance from Capgemini as a whole with the client.

    Advice to Management

Encourage and reward cooperation across BU's for the success of the engagement as a whole.

some great people to work with. They really care.

    Cons

Leadership from Group is very very poor.

    Advice to Management

nice organisational vision, but poor execution on strategy. Leadership needs to take their own responsibilities seriously.

I worked at Capgemini full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The advantages of working for Capgemini include the fact that it is a large organisation with many opportunities that are available to take advantage of if you wish. Being widely spread over the UK, it is possible to work from your home, depending on role, and therefore improve your work / life balance. There are also global opportunities.

    Cons

Cons include the inevitable politics of a large company; you need to take the initiative to progress; there is a lot of dead wood, TUPEd in from outsourcing arrangements etc and some of that will be above you and resent you if you are ambitious. Finally, company direction is set at headquarters in France, and that sometimes doesn't translate well into the UK.

    Advice to Management

Strategy is fluffy and full of key words - employees need to know what they are doing and why to be fully motivated. Too often I heard that people's jobs were going offshore - that should be an opportunity to get rid of process-heavy jobs and focus on being agile in country.

  11. "a good place to work and a strong, decisive company in tough times"

    • Senior Management

    Pros

Professional, can-do attitude of staff, good team-spirit, nice office environment, pay and benefits are never as high as you hope but feel they compare well with the industry as a whole. Good levels of respect from senior staff, especially with newcomers etc. Good induction programmes and lots of worldwide opportunities for those with relevant skills, interests and enthusiasm

    Cons

client based working can be difficult - we are all very much tarred with one brush. outsourcing has a somewhat negative view across the industry and this can be reflected in the attitudes of the client staff with whom you work. generally we are perceived as professional and competent individuals but sometimes the company as a whole is viewed negatively due to press coverage, general fears about outsourcing, redundancy etc

    Advice to Management

continue listening to your people, and feedback and inform often, especially when the news is bad. please dispel market rumours and industry gossip quickly as silence/no comment can often be demotivating and destabilising
