Account Executive

I'm a new seller (previously was in client services) in Central and have been assigned some of the major agencies in Chicago Havas, KSM, GainShare, Laughlin Constable, Abelson Taylor, 360i, Carat, Universal McCann, etc). Programmatic and performance in mobile. Leaning in everywhere and learning from everyone. Would love some help, ideas on how to get my emails looked at. I'm already working with major brands at Starcom and Spark, breaking new biz is hard! Would love some advice.

          Pros

A lot of benefits, healthcare, insurances, gym discounts… a very long list! Some nice people.

          Cons

People doesn’t work very often from the office which makes very hard for juniors to learn and get the knowledge need it to have a career progression within the company. Some teams are amazing and some other awful, and this is why is very tricky to give a proper feedback. Some colleagues were in very toxic teams. My team was ok, but never managed to have the feeling of being properly “part of the team”.

Some good people, that's about it.

                      Cons

Disasterous corporate structure. Relentless, poorly managed and badly communicated change. Poor salaries and advancement that makes it almost impossible to recruit and retain talent. Many teams are permanently under-resourced, stressed out and working long hours. Relentless pitching for new business (with a very poor success rate) and commercial pressure to sell products and solutions to clients, regardless of their needs or effectiveness is depressing and demotivating.

Applied for a job a few weeks back, got a call from HR yesterday morning about an interview next week. She mentioned she'd shoot me an email with all the interview details, but so far, my inbox is empty. Assuming I'll hear from her early next week, is it normal for them to expect me to show up for an in-person interview on short notice, like couple days?
