I worked at Care UK part-time

    Pros

Training package ok, but have a feeling they are leading you into a false sense of security. Lovely service users, , and the care home staff of a residential unit I was constantly sent to, offered me a Full Time position, which I gladly took. Free uniforms They actually do emphasise keeping your training up to date, as well as your registration, sadly there's no development, I understand you have a budget to adhere to, but not to the point your workers, and service users suffer, unfortunately this is what's happening.

    Cons

Can be a bullying culture, seen a young girl being reduced to tears by a few of your middle management, I don't tolerate bullying of any kind. Middle management are very rude, unhelpful and try to be intimidating, they didn't like the fact I stood up to them, this bullying attitude is abhorrent in this profession. No one on night call? Are you serious? What if there was an emergency? These phones should be manned 24/7 Often, my wages were short,, or wasn't paid at all. My interview was rather bizarre. A lot of misinformation and lack of communication between middle management.

I worked at Care UK full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Wonderful service users , great care , domestic staff , nice surroundings but not practical

    Cons

Staff morale , terrible , rude , disinterested management , the problems began from day one , contracts team unfriendly and very intimidating . Senior team are very quick to polish each other's halos , try the same with you're staff . Rotas were wrong on a daily basis , closed door policy except one hour per day ( if not interrupting a cigarette break ) not great if you had concerns !!!
