    Demerge from BD company went down hill as soon as the old man on the east coast took over especially the Belgium Mafia

    I worked at CareFusion full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Site I was at was remote from the main sites and as such had far less micromanagement than other Carefusion locations. The people I worked with day to day were genuinely some of the cleverest and supportive co workers I have had.

    Cons

    Senior management off site was generally extremely poor. Lots of money spent on reorganisation after reorganisation so very little money to spend on improving products in a coherent manner. Instinct in challenging financial situation is always to cut staff even if that then kills product development and hence future cash flow.

    Advice to Management

    Support your staff instead of constantly changing priorities. Improve your product pipeline development process so you are not constantly chasing the me-too market.

    Pros

    Nice location not to hard to get to if you drive and possible by train.

    Cons

    Sadly quite a few people who are unfriendly

    Pros

    Good salary package with high quality products within some of the divisions.

    Cons

    Restructure is coming. The field sales teams will be shrunk and better aligned together. Products in the carefusion portfolio which do not fit in to the new BD model will be gotten rid of. Office buildings will be closed and administrative staff made redundant.

    Advice to Management

    Reinterview everyone, especially in field sales for their jobs again. There is some serious numpties in there and they need to rooted out.

    Pros

    Fantastic people, great work life balance. It is a pleasure to represent carefusion in the field. Products are extremely reliable and speak for themselves with majority market share.

    Cons

    Management are very poor. Never quiet seen such poor management in my career. Serious lack of understanding of the business.

    Advice to Management

    Serious need for management to understand capital business, appears to be lacking as they hide in Chloroprep division. Stop all the reorganisation. Too much change over the last 3 years. Leading to serious morale decline. BD acquisition/merger will hopefully bring s positive change.

    Pros

    The knowledge and the comittment of the Infusion team - Sales, Clinical support and field engineering have elevated this organisation to market leaders desipte a lack in investment in new product development.

    Cons

    Perks - none. Time off and work life balance policies are non existant.
    Management teams outside US appear to be Pharma focused rather than medical device focused, this means that a Pharma culture has been imposed on successful teams where cutting cost at the expense of hiring ineffectual middle management teams means that there is a serious "disconnect". Result - disaffected sales teams and a management teams that are obsessed with the share price given that they will now reap the reward with the BD merger.

    Advice to Management

    Talk to your employees that understand the business outside of the US rather than employing MBA graduates who know nothing about the Healthcare market and are only in this for the short haul. There is no appreciation of talent from within this company.

    The department I worked for has incredible professionals and really knew their craft well.

    Great people on team, work remotely, great benefits, direct managers have been great to work with.

    Cons

    Project load can get heavy, traveling to project sites for meetings, client training is constant
