Pros
Friendly, remote-first workplace. There is encouragement to progress internally, and there is a lot of scope for progression given the way contracts start and end. The CEO, Naomi, is great - it seems that it's a priority for her to listen to staff and she visited every region on a 'roadshow', which was a great opportunity to meet the exec team in-person, ask difficult questions and understand the organisation. Fundamentally, Catch22 does fantastic things and has a great leader, but there appears to be no regulation when it filters down to line managers, etc.
Cons
Your experience with Catch22 depends entirely on the line manager and programme you're working on, as there is little to no noticeable management/regulation of managers' behaviour. Micromanaging was encouraged on some programmes, and the company will do anything to hit their KPIs including publicly shaming colleagues on team calls. The company ignores feedback (a colleague of mine who left, wrote an exit statement which detailed all of these things and nothing was done/it was never mentioned). I'm sure HR doesn't even look at them. There is a culture of 'this manager is friends with the director so nothing can change'. Colleagues have been reprimanded by management for speaking to the director, for example. When I left the organisation, I wasn't asked to complete a leaver's survey and I was told this was because 'I won't tell on them', when actually I would have been grateful for the opportunity to feed back to management. Expenses were withheld/discouraged in certain roles as 'it's a charity, we can't pay you back for your workplaces expenses as you'll be taking from a charity'. Please note that Catch22 is a social business, not a 'charity'. In other roles under different managers, this wasn't the case - this comes back to the lack of management/regulation of managers' behaviour.

Pros
Great team of people who really care. Average salary, easy interview, autonomy in workload
Cons
Meaningless job as they only care about numbers and making management and shareholders look good. Job is routine and doesn't feel like making a difference. It's a deadend job and no progression. It doesn't matter how long you've worked there or how hard you work. Unless you're friends with management or come in as a manager you won't move up. They dangle fake opportunities but only promote staff when you are in with their clique. Lots of hard working staff are let down here. Management... some (not all) of the managers are inexperienced and like to micromanage but are not there to support you. You have to manage and handle issues yourself. Never have their phones switched on and we weren't sure what half of them do. We don't hear from managers until they want to bring up problems. Never address issues and things don't really change. No ongoing training or development for staff Workload is too much and pay doesn't reflect the amount you put in... also it can be a high risk job with the people you speak to. There are no safety or support measures. No expenses paid even if you have to travel a lot you don't get support with this...

Pros
Having no official background or experience in a HR role, I joined the company and from the first day was well supported. Having had bad experiences with managers and feelin left out and undervalued, it was refreshing to be in a place that saw my value and made them selves available and accessible to learn and get help here needed. They have been very patient with me whilst I learn and accepted me the way I am. Even to the extent that when 'I make a mistake and put pressure on myself their kind words encourage me and put all my fears and anxieties to bed! I am enjoying my role and am happy and proud to work for such a company with a culture and morals such as these.
Cons
I enjoy my role to the extent I have sometimes worked after 5 :(

Pros
This company is an absolute gem of a workplace. The people are a joy to work with, and the abundance of career prospects is remarkable. The management team genuinely prioritizes the advancement of their employees, both on a personal and professional level. The work-life balance is exceptional, and they wholeheartedly embrace diversity and inclusion policies, making me feel genuinely valued and included.
Cons
While the overall experience at this company is fantastic, one area that could use improvement is the wages. It would be beneficial if the company considered offering higher compensation to its employees.

Pros
Good experience for resume building
Cons
Management is very toxic and having their own backs like previous reviews here have stated. Don’t really care about employee wellbeing or mental health unless there may be issues or problems. Nobody is trustworthy and seem to be in their own little groups as if in school. Managers often seem to get promoted after a year or two in the job therefore untrained, unqualified and undeserved. Managers also have double standards, forgetting they’ve done the very thing they raise issues or flags about for employees. Certain managers have gone shopping when supposed to be working and lied to their own managers about it. Certain people go home instead of to a location they stated they would. Backstabbing and toxic culture in the work environment. No room for progression within the role. Pay is subpar at best, awful at worst and does not reflect work. Overall, 1.5/10 do not recommend (unless you just need something to look good on your resume).

Pros
The values of the company align with mine, and the work we do is something I always wanted to pursue from an early age. The people are brilliant and the ability to progress is unlike any other company I've worked in.
Cons
There can be a real disparity between services. Our frontline practitioners are not informed about the different services within Catch22 and therefore they understand very little about anything happening outside of their contract (speaking from my experience when I was a frontline practitioner). Additionally, maternity leave at Catch22 is not as good as many other companies.

Pros
I work as a victim caseworker, and the team are amazing. Really understanding, kind and caring. You get so many opportunities to better your skills with level 2 qualifications, shadowing other services and loads of different training. My managers are really approachable and help in every way possible.
Cons
Nothing that i can think of.
