    Pros

Big company with big ideas for the future
Leading the way on innovation and future energy markets
For a Big FTSE, with 200+ year history that is willing to take some risks to try out new business models and ways of work
Investing in new technologies to help this global business work together
    Excellent perks and benefits

    Cons

In some areas we suffer from 'dis-economies of scale'
We could do more to encourage more internal movement to develop people and leverage knowledge sharing. It happens, but with the size of Centrica we could do so much more

    Pros

    Meet nice customers.

You learn good excellent work skills that will help you succeed if you decide to leave the business.

    Tools provided.

    Cons

Lack of support when problems are encountered. Management couldn't care less about employee concerns. HR take the management's side and respond to concerns in a similar manner.

The company vehicle cannot be used for private use, yet engineers are still expected to use it to travel home, sometimes for more than an hour, in their own time. They are also expected to provide overnight parking for the vehicle.

Work/life balance is intolerable. Recent promises by the director to address this have been blocked at a local level (with the approval of the director).

Engineers and customers are leaving in their droves, many engineers have been off sick with long term stress.

The share price has recently dropped to it's lowest level ever, since the company was privatised in 1986.

Full terms and conditions for field workers are impossible to obtain, despite numerous requests. Some local managers ignore these anyway and do whatever they want.

    Advice to Management

    Resign to save the business.
