Pros

There are NO feasible reasons to choose WJH. Wjh offers good earning potential; but, it’s just that - potential. They do this in hopes of recruiting and retaining necessary talent - however, anyone with a brain can see within weeks that they’ve stepped into a toxic environment in which there is no direction and the the Current VP and CEO will dismiss anyone who they feel is a “threat” - and by threat, I mean someone who is calm, collected, and presents ideas/questions about certain unexplainable decisions. Fact: if the CEO or VP feel as if you’re as smart or smarter than them; they will fire you.

Cons

Worst. Work. Environment. Ever. Fact. WJH and the Owner himself could not be more unstable. If you spent 5 minutes in the office on a day when the Owner is around; you will inevitably hear demeaning comments, excessive cursing, yelling/temper tantrums, etc. you would think I just described a 13 Year old girl, right? Nope. Accurate description of CEO. In addition, others in executive Managment hire their “friends” for roles they are not equipped to perform rather than someone qualified. And then when the un-equipped individual inevitably fails due to NO TRAINING, it is their fault and they are let go- at which point the company is even farther behind the 8ball. Trade Partners - Everyone knows working for or with WJH is a joke. The reason they’re entering into so many new markets across the country is because they’ve completely ruined their reputation in every other one they’re in - making it nearly impossible to hire qualified employees or trades. Let’s also make mention of the fact that it is expected for the trades to perform quality, on time work - for a fraction of what they make with other production builders. To round it all out: WJH is good for no one and good to no one. Everyone’s job is on the Line. Not due to lack of performance; but due to instability of CEO.

Pros

Compensation potential is good. Benefits average. CFO and only a few people are competent. Company half owned by a competent company that hopefully will take it over.

Cons

Management very poor, especially CEO. He is dilusional, disconnected and not knowledgeable about homebuilding and business in general. Makes stupid decisions. Can't keep competent people very long.

Pros

Great coworkers and vendors

Cons

Management is a joke. They go through managers about once or twice a year. They come in and hire there buddies with little experience. I worked for wade jurney homes for 4 plus years from the beginning with just 3 employees and 1 office and grew the company to 3 offices and over 10 employes and some how 4 years latter I didn't know how to do my job any more and was let go with no warning and did not receive my PTOs that was earned over 4 years time. Very hostile environment need to watch your back or you will get stabbed. Absolutely no loyalty to employees or there vendors
