Don't let their "cool" branding fool you, this place is toxic and creatively behind the times.
Pros
Small teams come with their perks. You can take the reins as much as you can or need too to learn a lot in a small amount of time. However, this is not unique to CC, this is just general Pro of working at a small agency.
Cons
- Disorganized system of managing work from founders. Team under them is really dedicated to making it work, but founders are stubborn to change their ways and lead with ego instead of smart marketing and business practice. - Are more concerned with their own branding than those of their clients. Many pet projects that don't relate to client work that usually go nowhere. - Little work life balance. - Creative is mediocre at best and relies on trends from 10 years ago. - Revolving door of talent due to poor management. - Sexist, machismo culture from male founders and even the female ones. Also overheard racist and homophobic remarks from founders. - Creative pay is insulting and way below industry standard for most if not all positions. However founders are buying new homes, cars and going on lavish vacations and aren't shy about sharing all about it. - Are not receptive to new ideas to make processes smoother or more organized. - Founders are related, married or very close. Huge conflict of interest that HR is one of the founders. If there's an external problem, there's no way to truly address it because of this. - Demeaning to their younger talent. - Opportunities for promotion or raises is non-existent. - Perfect, exacerbated example of the ills of agency life. - I was really excited to work here. I believed in the mission and the scrappy nature. But not even fun work can cover up the shadiness that happens inside these walls. Run don't walk away from this place.
