    Pros

Decent pay, nice London offices in good location (good cycle parking and showers), overall a well respected brand and organisation with seemingly good prospects.

    Cons

Two or three people at the top call all the shots. It is privately owned by the CEO who takes a very active view on most areas of the business. Those who disagree (and are senior enough to be noticed) are fired or resign resulting in quite a high turnover of senior management in certain departments. This can be quite demoralising further down the chainn when the "reset" button is hit each year, and a new manager comes in. It doesn't take advantage of the very clever and experienced people who are hired.

    Advice to Management

Trust the senior management you hire. Take their advice, and support them even when their suggestions are not how things have been done previously. Alternatively, make the limited scope for development clear at interview stage, to reduce management turnover.

    occasional travel at client site
Support team well run, good manager
open communication on a technical level with other teams

    Cons

flat structure, no internal promotion, only to other teams
option to move to Implementation team which means 100% travel at short notice (1+ year in a foreign city, not your choice)
only 5 paid sick days per year
only 20 days holiday when you join
only minimum statutory maternity pay - minimum legal, they won't change that

I worked at Charles River Development full-time

    Pros

    Growing company, overall good company

    Cons

Some managers/Team Leads have zero leadership skills to become Team Leads, no freedom at all to work independently so much micro management. Not only work has to done but it has to be the way your team lead thinks is the right way (which is always wrong). Zero leadership skills. Some team leads dont even know how to communicate things micro management is their top priority. If anyone in the team complains about anything or try to share their thoughts with the management, they are kicked out of the company. seriously.

    Advice to Management

Give proper training to Team Leads to become better managers.
