I have been working at Chipotle part-time for less than a year

    Pros

at my chipotle i get really good hours for part time and they’re pretty flexible with hours. but i’ve heard otherwise about different locations. the job is easy if you learn quickly and efficiently. you also earn paid sick hours so that’s good. you one free meal per shift. so you can only get one entree for free and not another free one for your family or friends. same thing when you’re not working you get 50% off but it’s only one entree.

    Cons

it’s very stressful. you’ll have a line that wraps around the whole restaurant while you have to clean the dining room, ring up customers, stock the self serve, sometimes bag chips because there’s none, and deal with Karens all that the same time. if you’re in high school and want this to be your first job, i would recommend starting at another job first and gaining some experience and building some customer service skills because you would be unprepared and management tends to hire those with experience.

I worked at Chipotle part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Coworkers are like a family, food is free, you get to make the food if you're on prep, grille, or you open. Overall a fun job.

    Cons

They don't do background checks on their employees and a lot of people they hire are minors with no sense of work ethic. It can be very frustrating to work with them, and the customer service was often terrible. Often worked long hours (9-10 hrs) with no break and minimum wage pay.

I worked at Chipotle part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Free food, engaging with people, collaboration

    Cons

Can be very busy, some tasks/jobs can be very undesirable if you don't "enjoy" them (e.g. washing dishes, clearing the drain), dealing with angry customers

  5. "The work was tough at times but with the right crew it was worth it."

I worked at Chipotle full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The best part about working here was of course the free food and even after a year it was still delicious.

    Cons

There's a good amount of unexpected physical work involved.

I worked at Chipotle part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Free employee meals, half-off when you take them home -- these never get old. Job teaches good discipline, sense of urgency. Good starting pay -- $10.50 where I started.

    Cons

Very fast paced; other jobs will seem easy afterwards! Advancement opportunities if you're willing to put in the time and effort, and drink the kool-aid. Enjoyment of the job depends heavily on the individual store and managers, as the work itself is not low effort.

I worked at Chipotle part-time for less than a year

    Pros

One think I like is that you get hour if you are willing to work them and that really helped when I needed the cash

    Cons

I believe that the cashier has to many responsibilities for a given time. They have to run the cash register, keep the lobby clean, and restock supplies. I don’t think I have ever left my shift on time.
