I have been working at Church of England full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

My work involves a variety of tasks that involve strategic thinking, finding ways to maximise collaboration – as well as some organisational and administrative responsibilities. That also means working with a range of colleagues within as well as outside the Church which feels like a privilege. The work itself has the potential to make a difference in the life of the Church - and possibly further afield, which is what makes it feel worthwhile.

    Cons

The National Church Institutions are, collectively, a large organisation. So sometimes it can be difficult to get different parts to work in a joined up way - and sometimes institutional bureaucracy can feel a little stifling.
