Company is doing good and expected to perform well in near future...
Considering Delhi NCR (India) lala culture it is one of the best...
Average annual hike... (performance based) ...
Overall very good company for long term association...

    Cons

Increased cases of salary discrimination (India)
Some global policies not applied in India (work from home is promoted in Ciena corp but Ciena India is hesitant)..
Although Job rotation within company is allowed but in India but somehow it lowers personals value and not advisable.

I have been working at Ciena full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Ciena hires the best and trusts us to do our jobs, and supports us in every way possible. Our flexible work environment, incredible family leave policies, the ability to volunteer- all of these things speak volumes to who we are while never sacrificing our drive to achieve the best possible results in the industry for our company, for our customers and for each other. The people are incredible at Ciena- best group of people I have ever had the pleasure of working with across all levels of the organization. And Ciena has a company band!

    Cons

Stock grants are not for all levels of the company.

    Advice to Management

Keep up innovating on ways to support our people, it's noticed and appreciated. Thank you!

I worked at Ciena full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Employee will be lured with joining bonus and good salary.
    Free meals and cab.
Most of the people tend to leave the company in a year or two.

    Cons

    Legacy product with legacy technology.
Ciena India centre's work culture is very poor.
Senior employees tend to play politics and favour biasing. Architects are incompetent,
Nepotism is prevalent here across all the teams. Even Director are indulged in such malpractices.
Hire and Fire is the routine here.
Variable part of the salary is distributed with the manager's consent. You need to lick manager's feet to get it.t
HR team don't listen to employee's issues and only interested in hiring people for the commission.

    Advice to Management

Senior management should take cue from Ciena's Canada center.
