I worked at Citizens Disability full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Free lunch and fun after/outside work events

    Cons

Everything else. Underappreciated eith absolutely no care or concern for both employees or their clients. Heard they are outsourcing jobs to foreign country, which just doesnt sit well eith me (can not confirm but 99.9% sure this is reliable), management "spies" on you- so be verrrry careful of anything/everything that you do once you pull in garage until you leave (and msybe even social media- but management is a bunch...

    Advice to Management

Stop playing favorites. Be honest and upfront with employees. SHOW EMPATHY TO WHY YOU ARE EVEN EMPLOYED - the clients and why they need you. I never once saw any management type care. Stop the micromanaging- if you truly feel that is a MUST- chsnge the screening/interview/employment criteria. If an employee gets the "numbers" job done what they do while doing that during times phone doesnt ring shouldnt matter!!!...

I worked at Citizens Disability full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The leaders are awesome. They are very sincere with the vendor partners and provides the best support system to all of their employees. Like most companies they are results driven, but what makes them a cut above the rest, is they don't feel bad about investing in both resources and infrastructure to make sure that they achieve their goals.

    Cons

Vendor partners are still new in the outsourcing business and some if not all are very much only after the money. To the point that they literally lie just to keep squeezing money from the cow.

    Advice to Management

The vendors need to get replaced. 40% should be replaced by new and more stable vendors (service providers)

I worked at Citizens Disability full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The management is awesome and the multiple levels of management help to create a great system within the company to know where to go with what questions you have. You are surrounded by people who have mostly been here for 4-5 years and up. These people know what they are doing and have been through many phases of the companies development. They know a lot about this process so do not be discouraged if you are starting...

    Cons

You deal with people who are typically in bad situations. You're probably going to get yelled at and have angry people you're going to have to deal with. As well you are going to hear a lot of awful stories about peoples lives. And you're job is most likely going to require you to move quickly through their questions or in assisting them with paperwork. You most likely are not going to feel good about that. But that...

I have been working at Citizens Disability full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

You can make a lot of money here as an Attorney if you are willing to work. Base compensation is high and is directly tied to how many cases you are capable of handling. There is an opportunity for a Bonus every 6 month based on your win rate and generally everyone gets at least something. Free lunch, dogs allowed in the office and overall great work environment.

    Cons

Not for lazy people. There are times when you need to work a little more than 9 to 5

I worked at Citizens Disability full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I've met some of my closest friends here and have truly learned how to advocate. I have nothing bad to say about this place: - free lunch - free garage parking - free gym in the building - dog friendly office - lots of travel In the last few years, I've been able to go to more than 15 states and see a lot of places that otherwise I wouldn't have seen. I've been able to help hundreds of people, and it has been...

This is still a young company; and you guys have obviously learned a lot in this time. But, the company is moving in the right direction and the right moves are being made.

When I was still a PreQual Specialist, i felt like a superhero. You're not just working to earn money, you can also help people who were disabled. It made my work more noble.

None. I can't say anything bad. I love CD

    Pros

I made 3 friends. Nothing else.

    Cons

You do not matter. Your achievements receive no acknowledgement but the slightest mistake can cost you a yearly bonus. If you mess up, no one tells you until your review, so you make the same mistakes, unbeknownst to you, for months until it is brought up during review. No bonus for you because management is complete garbage and cannot tell you the first or second time making a mistake that you need to fix it. Relationships...

    Advice to Management

You're incompetent, you make horrible decisions, you care little to not at all about your employees. Your main concern is making money and saving as much money as you can. What happens? Horrible morale, the highest turnover rate I have ever seen anywhere, horrible business practices. Promote people who are smart and actually do their job instead of lazy, mediocre performers just because they have been there a little...

I worked at Citizens Disability full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Hours are alright, allows you to get more sleep. Its a good job for people looking to do little work and skate bye if youre friendly with upper-management. Monthly (or so) company parties with alcohol and food. The CEO is probably the only person who cares to hear what you have to say.

    Cons

`Minimal to no room for growth. `CFO doesnt even pay attention to whats going on within the company and then tries to change things on a whim (he also doesnt pay attention in meeting, I have witnessed on multiple occasions). `Multiple department heads have no idea what is going on in their own department, then ask for answers as to why things arent going as they want it to. `The company doesnt listen to any complaints...

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to whats going on in your company. Promote the employees who actually work and care about working instead of promoting your friend because you want your friend to move up. Stop playing favorites and let everyone have a voice.
