Pros
The course lets you step into the shoes of a real investment banking analyst and teaches you how to build financial models and do valuations from scratch. The trainer Sameer is a former Goldman-Sachs banker and is extremely knowledgeable and helpful especially with practice interviews and CVs to help you to find a job in the industry. The atmosphere with the other students is great and the course is good value for money
Cons
I found the course quite intensive and challenging so be ready for a lot of hard work

RecommendsPositive OutlookI have been working at City Investment Training full-time for less than a year
Pros
In-depth learning and practical experience with Financial Modelling in MS Excel, M&A accretion/dilution analysis, LBOs and DCF On-site learning in great offices The teacher has ten years + experience in IB and is more than happy to share all the secrets and tips of how to get in. Mock interviews and prepares you very well to pass the IB interview process
Cons
If you're not willing or ready to spend some hours outside of the course working on your model, doing the research log and reading on your companies, then I suppose that's a con.

Pros
The staff at CIT are the highest quality to train you through banking and finance, I have learnt more in just 4 weeks than in my 3 year degree. The help is around the clock and your prospects coming out of the training improve dramatically. You most certainly get great value out of City Investment Training.
Cons
It's hard work, but the team are always helpful and as long as you put the effort in, you will reap the rewards.

I worked at City Investment Training full-time for less than a year
Pros
We worked on Investment Banking Analyst tasks and simulated a Finance environment. It is a great way of understanding what you will be required to do during the job. Also, it is a great course to go in detail about the technicals of IBD and excel at interviews.
Cons
I did the course online which decreased a bit the quality of the learning. However, the teacher always tried to keep the online students engaged.

Pros
I really enjoyed the course. I went from not knowing Excel or accounting to building financial models and research reports. The course really helped me understand so many different aspects of the financial services industry not just IB or PE. The feedback I received from the 1-1 mock interviews and notes I made from the program really helped me prepare and get into a BB Bank. I still keep them to help remind me on the concepts.
Cons
Not really. My advice to anyone who wants to join, really try to put your best into it, it's hard work, it pays off. From my experience, people who really go ahead and jumped for the opportunities like presenting the stock pitches, asking for feedback and for help gained the most out of it.
