Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at City of London Police full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Good pay for private sector vs the others Fairly flexi working (also a negative as there's no actual rules on it) Location is easy to get to
Cons
The "managers" within NFIB are particuarly poor, rife with blame culture, micromanagement and no empowerment at all. Any ideas are shot down with no good reason often by curt emails you'll then see your idea carried out by said manager as if it was there own. Communications are particularly poor and many cc management in every email leading to a telling on type culture that's if people respond at all. IT, only just getting better but the reporting tools, file structure and technical skill of most staff is abysmal with nobody willing to step up or become more efficient

RecommendsPositive OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at City of London Police full-time for more than 10 years
Pros
The work is really interesting and frequently high profile. It contains the UK's premier Fraud Squad and officers and staff make frequent television and other media appearances. It's offices are in the heart of the City of London, an area steeped in fascinating history. It is a small enough force that people can soon have an influence far greater tghan they would in the Metropilan Police Service for example.
Cons
At least one office is grade 2 listed and old fashioned in its design, which can be uncomfortable. Some police officers still look down on civilian staff. Some jobs do not attract the market rate of similar jobs in the sector.
