Pros

Easy hourly pay to collect. So slow you can do homework, play on Facebook or even find love on POF.

Cons

Drama. Family owned and family drama. Lies from the top down. Immature corporate staff. Nasty environment. No job security. Commission requires you to do unrealistic goals for horrid payout.

Pros

Great coworkers at the store I worked at. Fun work environment.

Cons

There is no communication between the corporate office on the west coast and the stores on the east coast. All decisions made by the company, for example commission structure which changes every month, directly benefit the west coast stores, while the east coast stores suffer. The commission they say you'll get is next to impossible to achieve due to it relying entirely on Verizon cell phone activations. Don't hit the number, you get no commission. If you do get it, it is so insignificant that it isn't even worth it. The numbers they decide on really only work for the larger stores out west, and are based on those stores' performance. The company does not follow through with promises of quarterly raises or promises of anything for that matter, and if you try to contact corporate to speak to someone about said promised raise, they will just ignore your contact attempts. Leadership is seriously lacking when it comes to store management. Training was horrible and I had to basically teach myself everything due to no real leadership structure.

Pros

Team is very friendly. Clients are fun (usually). Flexible schedule if you plan ahead.

Cons

Corporate structure needs a lot of work. This location is the black sheep. It seems as though corporate only cares about the headquarters location. They change the commission structure too frequently, and rarely does it benefit the sales associates in the Portland location. The foot traffic and lack of advertising can make for days when you would rather be watching paint dry.
