I have been working at Clinigen Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fast moving, growing quickly, lots of opportunities. New management seem far more interested in getting right support in place.

    Cons

Fast moving! If you don’t like change, don’t work here. Lot of acquisitions causes uncertainty.

    Advice to Management

Increase the pharma competence of the business.

    Pros

Good package and some nice people. There’s also working flexibility, demanding on the department you’re in.

    Cons

    Micro management
Some really bad people in mid-level and senior positions
    Tensions between sites

    Advice to Management

Start working on the culture - there’s none.

I have been working at Clinigen Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great people, nice offices, good perks, generous bonuses and training provided.
Company has grown very quickly and created lots of opportunities for people who want to make a real difference. It’s hard work but rewarding. So much better than being bored and going nowhere!
There has been lots of change, it’s not for everyone, but was needed. New management team are good and new things are being introduced to make improvements.
Negative reviews here do not reflect my experience. It’s a good company to work for, best place I’ve worked.

    Cons

Yes It is hard work and lots of change but that’s also a good thing.

    Advice to Management

Keep going with the improvements being made and keep listening to people. Hopefully they will share on here!

I have been working at Clinigen Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Welcoming, great benefits including free food, gym. The culture has in the past been very good, a very open environment.

    Cons

Family feel culture is reducing as more acquisitions are made. Management do not have time to resolve issues. Salaries are unfair, expect a lot for the pay.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Clinigen Group full-time

    Pros

Fast-paced environment and growing business with untapped potential, opportunities to learn new things and get involved in innovative projects
Dedicated colleagues at an operational level
    Modern offices and facilities
Free food/drinks, cashback and discounts, bonus and long-term incentive plans, however these perks and benefits have been significantly reduced over time, and more cuts are now expected

    Cons

Poor communication between sites and within teams
Shockingly high staff turnover rate due to poor pay, very limited personal development opportunities, constant restructuring and redundancies
Competent staff who understand the business leaving in droves and being replaced with staff struggling to cope with the fast-paced nature and complexity of the business
Shambolic and inadequate HR department doing nothing to tackle low staff morale and retention rates
Insufficient training given to new starters as existing staff are too busy dealing with unsustainable workload levels

As a result of the above, the business is now struggling to grow organically and has to rely on acquisitions, cost-cutting measures and asset stripping to meet targets and expectations  - current growth rates may look good and please investors in the short-term but it's an unsustainable strategy and business model in the long-term

    Advice to Management

Get out of your bubble, spend time with and listen to your staff, particularly those at an operational level who understand the challenges the business faces.

Value your most dedicated, hardworking and competent employees, help them trive and reward them with performance-linked salary increases and career progression opportunities.

Communicate better with your staff, particularly during periods of change, and stop ignoring employee feedback.

Prioritise staff retention, customer service, internal communication and IT infrastructure - The business will eventually stop growing if you don't get the basics right before it's too late.
