Pros

- Fairly relaxed (depends on your store manager, obviously) - Very little morning starts, mostly night shifts and weekends - While there are KPIs and stuff, unless you're TERRIBLE with sales, there's generally no pressure to meet individual targets - Sliiiiightly more ethical retail-wise (we obviously had to push products here and there, but ultimately the main goal was to find the customer something they'd actually enjoy, rather than just selling them junk)

Cons

- Senior Management is extremely out of touch (and money hungry) - Management is also very lazy and slow in dealing with urgent matters (unless they involve money, of course) - Little to no security on shifts (some customers can be extremely unpredictable and almost violent). The current security company they use is absolutely useless - Shifts can be extremely boring at times, with no customers coming in for hours - Once you're in the store, you can't leave unless your shift is over (no actual breaks). - Because you work shifts alone, it's hard to keep the shop attended at all times (especially if you need to go to the bathroom) - No penalty rates for casuals, and full-time managers are generally underpaid

Pros

Lots of hours provided but 50 hours a week on a casual tax rate means you're taking the same home as you would from a 30 hour week.

Cons

Unfair and unsafe working conditions. Illegal activities when reported to higher management was swept under the rug.
