    Pros

Prior to the Covid crisis, the southam office still retained a bit of the soul of the original codies. The facilities were good. You learn a lot on your trade.

    Cons

You learn a lot on your trade but for the wrong reason. Impossible deadlines, Lack of ressources, and budget constraint push you to be creative and aim at maximum efficiency for the teams. Teams you get to push and in turn cannot reward, because hey overtime is not paid. Overtime is considered dedication and passion. The same passion with which the CEO granted himself a 11 million bonus in 2019. How can you ask people to do unpaid overtime? Complete disconnection of exec managers between their actions and the consequences over the teams.

    Tough Position

    Pros

Legacy, team interaction, opportunity to move up while learning from some of the best industry leaders.

    Cons

Changes in executive management throughout the industry have helped in some cases, however, investor expectations and attitudes are unrealistic (they want quick a ROI), and without significant changes in how games are made, such as developing games as a service rather than old school boxed product, the difficulties which continue to plague the larger, legacy publisher/developer companies could lead to their demise. The executive team in place here CAN do good, and ARE leading the company in the right direction. It just takes time, and the RIGHT people to implement the vision.

    Pros

People are great - you'll work with some incredibly talented teams. The location is great - nice grounds to walk around in lunch. Decent(ish) offices.

    Cons

Cash flow problems - I experienced a few months where I wasn't paid on time. Morale is at an all time low - the company is leaking staff everywhere and the teams are nowhere near the quality of what they were just a few years ago. Cash flow means the company can't afford next-gen (well, current gen now) kits for the team. Some of the longer serving members of the Senior Management team are completely checked out.
