Reviews about "recruitment"
Return to all Reviews- Former Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
Good benefits package, they offer big holiday incentives, it's a great stepping stone to get an education in recruitment
Cons
Problem with bullying atmosphere, a lot of favouritism and boys club mentality, poor salaries. You're very much a number here and it's all a bit superficial so my advice, look around there's far better companies out there.
- Former Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
- Good team atmosphere - Hardworking - Old school recruitment approach - Good place to learn the trade
Cons
- Deals being poached by other consultants (not good for morale) - Not an entrepreneurial business anymore - Restrictive KPIS (KPI's for KPI's sake not for business growth)

Pros
If you're really someone who is in for the recruitment game, and unafraid to get dirty, then this is not a bad place to be - you will make money
Cons
if you feel uncomfortable playing games with people and their livelihoods - this is not the place (or profession) for you.

Pros
First recruitment job I had, really positive experience, the people are great and its a really clear promotion path.
Cons
Business development is quite difficult as they do not have many clients they work with consistently. Also base pay is quite low
- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Excellent training program and support from peers and management from day one. The opportunity to earn serious money is great, the base salary is not the highest within the Bay Area but with Uncapped commission, there's the genuine opportunity to earn a lot of money only a year or two out of colleage. Recruitment and onboarding process is also good and the culture of the office is competitive but not cut-through sales.
Cons
Not really many cons, some people leave the company for a higher base salary elsewhere but if stick at it then you'll earn more money here than elsewhere.
- Current Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Actual opportunity here vs other recruitment shops. Strong markets and great culture
Cons
Company confuses "entrepreneurial with hard working" a bit behind in the times when it comes to lead gen and support. Your success will depend on the market you are in.

Pros
Computer Futures is a great place to grow a career in recruitment - it's up to the individual to make it happen Strong training programme both on the job and classroom focused training Excellent prospects to make good money - if you work hard and smart and build up a good client base you can definitely make good money Great people in the office with a lot of energy - a really enjoyable group to work with Plenty of work being done to always improve the environment and culture in the office Good mix of work hard play hard approach - individual and team incentives, end of year christmas party in London, good holiday structure, office closed over Christmas period Flexible working hours - flexitime (within timeframe) to start and finish work each day High expectations which can mean staying late or working after hours - some people find it frustrating or unnecessary but it will help in succeeding. Have continued to improve over time to be a more qualitative approach rather than quantitive Career growth is clear and defined in terms of where you can get to - the process is flexible but the stages are clearly defined
Cons
In a highly driven environment, decisions can sometimes be made to benefit the company more than the customer At times, there can be an almost school-like approach/attitude to processes and people Lack of flexibility on KPIs as the market changes. There is some, but focusing too much on numbers can lead to a lack of quality. Quite hierarchical - your level dictates a lot and it's something which can be improved

Pros
Mark Kelly is the an absolute god send to the office. He genuinely cares about everybody in there, and is super passionate about recruitment and growing out companies. He is the best thing to happen to SThree, and puts a smile on everyones face in the morning. Holiday incentives are good
Cons
Majority of the staff in there are unbelievably miserable and itching to get out of there but are stuck in a cycle of manipulation by management. You are made feel guilty if you aren't working the 12-14 hour days. Management are completely immoral, use bullying tactics, making their team feel undervalued, hopeless and unbelievably small infront of colleagues. You're every move is watched and noted, if you go to the bathroom frequently it gets brought up, if you check your phone really quickly, it's mentioned later in a meeting (you will have one to one meetings about everything, like you are back in school and put into a "Special" class) , you literally can't breathe without management having something negative to say about it. No encouragement to their staff other than YOU CAN MAKE LOTS OF MONEY..... if you work 80 hours a week and do incredibly unethical things to get there. Yes the potential is there to make a decent living, however if you work out how many hours you are putting in, you are barely making minimum wage. You burn out from the stress, and they just don't care, so the churn in there is disgraceful and doing nothing to combat it. Management and "top billers" into that wolf of wall street "party" culture, and if you don't part take in that kind of partying , you're not going to get very far within the company. You have to lie to candidates and clients alot, and have to feel comfortable doing so. You will regularly get pulled up on stuff your doing wrong, issues infront of the whole floor, which is ultimately mortifying. Being forced to stay late to man the phones, during your lunch break too....

Pros
Supportive team, plenty of personal and professional development opportunities, realistic targets, friendly customers and well-known recruitment brand globally.
Cons
Located near the LUAS line, so the noise of tram passing by sometimes distracts.

Pros
Great work environment Great location; centre of Dublin Friendly, hard-working, fantastic colleagues. Honestly some of the nicest people I've worked with. Constantly encouraged to upskill yourself. Since joining I've attended 100's of training sessions, earned a certification in recruitment, went on 2 2 day long recruitment courses They are willing to invest massively to training, alone they've probably spent 1000's on training me. Really great incentives to perform - Trips to Ibiza, Prague, Amsterdam, Las Vegas. Best Christmas party - Rollon Battersea 2016! Management that cares
Cons
I will say is that there is a big commitment required to work here. You have to be ambitious and willing to put in the hours and effort to succeed.
