I worked at Conagra Brands full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Operationally focused company Clear understanding of cost drivers Clarity of what the company seeks to deliver/achieve Strong focus on low cost operations Comparatively good compensation

    Cons

Extremely tactical company Weak leadership and strategy team While operationally focused the production team are the decision makers Management by fear Focused on not failing rather than achieving

    Advice to Management

Need to encourage contribution from the team rather than beating into submission. Try some of the good ideas from the team rather than exclusive development from consultants.

I worked at Conagra Brands full-time for more than a year

    Pros

P&L Accountability right from the get go. My role had tons of flexibility and opportunities to innovate.

    Cons

Company can be a bit disorganized, especially when it comes to people matters. There is also a lack of job security, as shown by the frequent, regular layoffs.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your people and pay close attention to culture. Also, reach out to understand what are the greatest motivators and de-motivators.

I worked at Conagra Brands full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Company is finally back on track and headed in the right direction. Office space is amazing. Renewed focus and new CEO is great (despite poor rating right now due to reorgs)

    Cons

Legacy employees are stuck and are not considered for internal roles and promotions. Seems like all they want to do is hire new people. Some of the new SLT unapproachable and cold.

    Advice to Management

Stay on the path but embrace legacy employees and give them a chance to show what they can do.

I worked at Conagra Brands full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Enjoyed co-workers. Challenging and interesting work at times.

    Cons

The move downtown was not appealing to all.

    Advice to Management

Be careful what "talent" you are looking to find in the city without valuing all those that have years of company experience.

    Pros

When I find some I will - pay checks are on time new management has a lot of work to show that they are the " real deal"

    Cons

New CEO - though he communicates- no specifics-if you were to provide your boss with the same specifics ( no concrete answers / vague) you would be fired

    Advice to Management

Tell employees concrete and specific information- employees are leaving this company at an alarming rate - say something specific with details
