Good benefits, great co-workers, well known brands
Cons
Currently downsizing and outsourcing many positions, so morale is low and future job security is uncertain. Work/life balance is challenging.

Pros
Great sales organization. Mid level leaders were committed to the growth of their people. It was a pleasure to work there.
Cons
Top sales management was top heavy. The president of the sales division insulated himself with people concerned with protecting their $175,000 salaried positions.
Advice to Management
Listen to your mid level and front line sales managers. Many of them have been around the block and know the business at the ground level.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Conagra Brands full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Great benefits, good tools to get new business, supportive management, career guidance
Cons
Wall Street dictates the future of you job, our division was doing great and still had a massive restructure dictated by wall street where many hundreds lost their jobs. Also a move to more HR centered culture which changed the feel of the environment
Advice to Management
Keep treating people well, eliminate those whose performance is sub par not just based on potential savings from salary being eliminated

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at Conagra Brands full-time for more than 8 years
Pros
Strong, well known brands in a relatively stable industry. Excellent pay and benefits.
Cons
Constant state of paranoia and CYA throughout the company leads to a great deal of time spent trying to "keep your job" instead of excelling at your job. Admin work is overwhelming and mostly internal reporting.
Advice to Management
Let your employees make, sell and distribute products instead of micromanaging and beating them over the head with internal reports and non-value added work.

Pros
The Work and Life Balance is good.
Cons
Not sure at times what the right hand is doing with the left hand.
Advice to Management
Quit speculating and give the sales people the tools to get the job done.

"ConAgra is a great place for Work Life Balance"

RecommendsApproves of CEOI have been working at Conagra Brands
Pros
Management Work Life Fair Pay Company Car Work from Home Exciting Ability to develop your business No micromanagement
Cons
Ease of Systems (though greatly improving) Fairness to all accounts/customers Hard to move up without relocating Sometimes transparency to what's expected is absent
Advice to Management
My manager is the best I have ever had. Completely respectful, he has a hands-off approach which makes me work harder. Advice to upper management would be that a lot of talent is lost from forcing people to relocate in order to be considered for positions. The benefit of retained talent and loyalty would far outweigh the cost of well-planned business travel.
