      Pros

The residents are the only positive experience at this facility.

      Cons

No training, consistently short staffed, questions are almost always answered with “I’m too busy”, supervisory staff are disrespectful and condescending.

      Pros

The residents are wondeful and make it worth coming to work.

      Cons

Short staffed. Staffing coordinator is very rude and then wonders why no one wants to come to work. Nurse to resident ratio is unsafe. Pay is too low for the amount of work required.

      Pros

      I don't work there anymore.

      Cons

Worse place I ever worked. Owners and administration were all about the money. Could have cared less about their staff or patients. Never had the right medications or supplies, worked short staffed all the time. No RN supervisor to make critical decisions on the night shift. The two Doctors thought they were bankers, didn't want to be bothered/didn't answer their phones unless it was between 9 and 5.

      Don't

      Pros

It's a paycheck. I learned many things (both good and bad) from my coworkers.

      Cons

      1) Don't expect to have enough staff - you will work short staffed 95% of the time. If another department - dietary or maintenance is short, expect to pick up the slack for them as well or go without. 2) Don't expect a set schedule: Work days can change without notification at any time - any day, any shift. You are responsible to check the schedule daily. Don't expect any recognition/compensation when you stay to cover a shift or have your schedule changed. Call-offs are daily. Turnover is constant. 3) Don't ever expect for your Supervisor to work the floor, they don't. Nor do they work holidays, nights, or weekends. 2) Don't expect any holiday off unless you use PTO time. Don't expect a set schedule unless you are one of the favored few. 3) Don't expect to get your requested PTO time approved. 4) Don't expect your facility to be properly maintained. (Heating/Cooling systems not working for months at a time. Phone and call systems are NOT reliable, mold, and pests (rats/mice, snakes. bugs). 5) Don't expect Admissions to turn down anyone that can pay. This is corporate healthcare. Employees and residents are simply cogs in the profit wheel.
