I have been working at Cotton On full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Amazing Team Fun shop Different Cool uniform 50% staff discount

    Cons

Pressure for KPI’s - manager wanting us to ask every single customer even if you know they’re going to snap at you. I thought we should be putting customers and their needs first, not pitching a sale - which they hate! No rewards - managers get to go to Australia/likewise if we hit certain KPI’s when it’s the rest of the team doing all the work 🤷🏼‍♀️ we’d get a £250 store voucher but that’s not exactly a trip away - a team member should be nominated instead. Our ‘work perks’ are just the stuff that isn’t selling/tacky, and we still have to pay for it 😂🙄 Used to be a good place to work and I enjoyed going - but now team moral has been run into the ground, everyone has given up or searching for new jobs.

I worked at Cotton On full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Accepting and quirky company ;individual brand

    Cons

Very KPI driven even to the detriment of the business U.K. customers in general do not appreciate the constant bombardment offers at the till, zero reward or incentive to hit the extensive and numerous targets some reward for store managers but none whatsoever for the remaining team members Clear favouritism within the business meaning specific stores will always Receive praise where as others will not Ridiculous and unmanageable work load , intense focus on wage percentage and cutting hours rather than well being of the staff Non competitive pay for level of work required Zero benefits such as overtime or bank holiday play etc Very reactive business expecting to execute store moves on minimal staff Would not recommend at all suitable positions for young team members looking to earn pocket money

I have been working at Cotton On part-time for less than a year

    Pros

50% discount staff discount , music.

    Cons

Not allowed to talk to other members of staff on shift, work ridiculous hours when manager takes days off. Find out shifts are changing a day before the week starts, targets are too big to meet, not given proper rest breaks, have to find cover for medical appointments, work not appreciated, bossed around by sales assistants who are in cliques with manager

I have been working at Cotton On part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good pay and shifts are given out at least three weeks in advance.

    Cons

They want you to ask to every single customers if they want to donate money to their foundation or if they want to buy hand cream. They really push you a lot on this kind of things even if customers clearly don't want to be bothered.
