    Pros

    Great opportunities for professional development
    Great and very talented teams

Listen more to your employees' concerns and act on them before it is too late.

I have been working at Covance full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Ok pay, decent location, line manager was good, excellent colleagues, lab work good and interesting, good entry level job

    Cons

Lack of organisation some days, lack of support for operations staff often left somewhat floundering expected to do the work of many. Mental health support generally not great aside from line manager, felt isolated. Work life balance in terms of commute shocking, distinct feeling of being overworked and underpaid, easy to get burned out from stresses, a lot of the 'blame game' is played among management, out of touch with 'the troops on the ground' constant bitchiness and bad feeling is generated when it is not needed.

    Advice to Management

Please look after your employees - recognise and react to the problems they tell you about. Improve the company wide mental health support at all levels, particularly at analyst level! Realise there's a deep rooted issue with the way things are done mostly without the majority of operations staff agreeing or knowing - maybe listen to their suggestions? Everyone should take responsibility for their actions

I have been working at Covance full-time

    Pros

Competitive salary, good work flow and excellent work-life balance, nice atmosphere, good benefits package

    Cons

Poor communication, minimum salary increase x year, slow and difficult job progression, no bonuses or incentives besides salary unless you’re management

    Advice to Management

Have some kind of incentive or bonus for good performers

    Negative Outlook

    I worked at Covance full-time

    Pros

Very flexible - this is the con that keeps most people at Covance.

    Cons

Lack of progression with many people working at higher positions without the pay or the title. Upper management are inexperienced and show their naivety on numerous occasions. Pay apparently is only at 75% of industry average and bonus is extremely poor.

    Advice to Management

Recognize your employee's efforts and abilities and promote from within. Acknowledge that others may know more than you and realize that management patting themselves on the back constantly is frustrating workers lower down in the company.
