I worked at Credit Suisse full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good people to work with
Pay reasonable for the financial services industry
    Very generous pension contributions

    Cons

    Bureaucracy. Typical many investment banks
Technology and methods about 10 years behind
IT services outsourced to Poland and India

    Advice to Management

Look after your experts. Not everyone who’s exceptionally talented wants to manage staff. Provide a technical career path. Innovative! Don’t just talk about it. Take in new people from outside the financial services “bubble”.

Former Employee - Vice President in London, England

I worked at Credit Suisse full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good people
    restructuring of company is done

    Cons

Difficult to get promoted if you are not Sales or Trading
Massive cost cutting for the last 3-4 years however support is offered but takes years to get juniors hired

    Advice to Management

You need to start promoting the employees, for the last few years compensation has been dire in FO and at the same time you refuse to promote - how are employees expected to be motivated
